After a period of silence on Dolce Creativity, it is time for a new blogpost. This time I will show you how to make this super easy and delicious treat: A summer watermelon salad. This salad is delicious as a snack or a side dish. You can take it with you on a summer picknick or make it for a nice barbecue with friends. You can make this salad under 5 minutes and with just 3 ingredients.
The things you need are:
- One watermelon
- Some feta cheese
- Some fresh mint, or if you don’t have some fresh mint like me then you can use dried mint
- A knife to cut open the watermelon
- A little round spoon to scoop up the little watermelon balls
First cut your watermelon is half. Depending on how much salad you want, you can either use a quarter of the melon, half the melon or the whole melon. I used about a quarter of the melon for one person. Then you scoop out some small watermelon balls. You don’t need to make balls, but it looks cute to make little balls.
After making small balls of all the watermelon you want to use, you will get some feta cheese. You can use as much or as little as you like. However, I used around 30 gr feta cheese for a quarter of the (big) watermelon. Crumble the feta cheese and put it in the bowl with the watermelon balls.
After putting in the feta cheese, you can chop some fresh mint en sprinkle this over the salad. If you don’t have fresh mint, you can also use the dried mint. And then it is time to enjoy your watermelon salad!
