In an earlier post, I made a cute pair of earrings. Today I wanted to make some new dangly ones and I will give you a step-by-step tutorial on how to make these earrings. Making these earrings won’t take a long time if you are familiar with making your own jewelry. It took me less then 30 minutes. If you have never made your own jewelry before, it might take you a little longer.
- Jewelry pliers. It is the easiest if you have two, but I made these with only 1
- Beads with a hole wide enough for the wire
- Two French earring hooks
- Two eyepins and three headpins
- Wire clippers
- Two small rings
The first step is to choose which beads you want to use. Remember that you will use three headpins on the bottom besides each other, so don’t choose beads that are too big.
After picking the beads, you need to decide which beads will go on the top eyepin and which will go on the three bottom headpins.
Once you decided on the beads, you can start making the earrings. Take your two eyepins and put the beads on these pins. Then attach the pins to the French Earring hooks. If you don’t know how to attach the eyepins, you can look at our earlier post about making earrings.
When you have attached the eyepins to the earringhooks you can get the six headpins and put the beads on the headpins. Make sure you use the same order on each side. This way you will get more identical earrings. Then close the headpins with little rings just like the eye of the eyepin.
Grap the little rings and attach the rings to the eye of the eye pins. This way you will have a bigger hole to attach the three headpins to.After you put the beads on the headpins, attach the headpins to the small ring. After you attached the headpins to the small ring, you are finished.
Now you have a pair of beautiful earring. Enjoy and let us know if you have recreated these earrings.
